Born Michael Sattin, Mick on Wheels is a singer/songwriter from Wollongong, just south of Sydney, Australia. He is a professional musician continually doing gigs in around Sydney and up and down the South Coast of NSW.

Mick says "I’ve been in a wheelchair nearly my whole life after a bout of meningitis as a baby. My parents forced me to use sticks (callipers) as a child, but at 12 years old I decided to solely use a wheelchair – I was much happier".

He says "I can do pretty much everything! From having a shower to driving, camping & earning a living. I don’t see myself as having a disability. I live with my family, but they are not my carers".

Mick delivers a powerful vocal style and broad range through various genres of music. These styles can range from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, Soul to Reggae and much more.

Mick has performed in numerous events connecting with the audience not only as a brilliant performer but as an entertainer. Working as a professional singer since 1995 Mick has performed at events such as The Sydney School’s Spectacular where he staged one of the most influential performances to date alongside artists such as: Human Nature, John Foreman and Australian Idol contestant Paulini.

Other events include playing a lead role in a 60 piece production called Odyssey on Stage which travelled to America, Europe and the Caribbean. Odyssey On Stage has opened many doors for Mick to perform as a true professional. One of his most influential performances was in 2001 when Mick performed a duet to the song, "Try A Little Tenderness" with Dragon front man Mark Williams at the 2001 Darling Harbour Christmas Pageant. He has worked with Mark Williams on numerous occasions since then. He has also worked with artists such as: Guitar Virtuoso Bruce Mathiske, Rose Tattoo Singer Angry Anderson, Singer Jacky Love, Actress/Singer Maria Venuti, Australian Guitar legend Ross Ward and regularly performs each year with the famous Jeff Harvey Band.

In 2003 he played a lead role in The Rocky Horror Stage Show, which was held at the Wentworth Hotel in Sydney for major corporate organisations and their functions. This event was organised by one of Australia’s leading production companies, Outthere Productions. Mick was involved in The Talent Development Project in which many well known producers, artists and critics gave way for him to pursue a career in the music industry. He has also completed an Advanced Diploma in music where he attended JMC Academy in Sydney and received high grades for his work.

In 2007 Mick performed at Sydney’s Parliament House for AHA Chairman John Thorpe who has sponsored Mick during his career.

In January 2008 Mick performed as support act for Aussie Rock Legends Dragon as part of Dragon's Australian Tour.

Throughout his time as a singer Mick has been performing in a number of bands ranging from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk and Soul. His band is electrifying in its line up and provides the very best in Blues, Rock, Funk music with some of Australia’s finest musicians. He also performs as an acoustic duo with rotating session guitarists called Mick on Wheels Unplugged.

In 2014 he wowed the country with his outstanding performances on Channel 7 reality show - X Factor Australia.

Mick is available to perform as a freelance vocalist for hire; with the Mick on Wheels Unplugged duo, also as a solo performer or with his own band: Roll With It at venues, weddings, corporate events, parties and special occasions. He also does recording studio work and has recorded lead vocals & voice over parts for albums, radio and TV jingles.
