Joey Goodwin Began his Drumming Career in 1966 at the age of 5, Joey adds "After seeing Sal Mineo in the Gean Krupa Story I was hooked". Joey Began taking Lessons at Berry Grasmussicks Music in Pasadena working on rudiments and many of the drum methods of the day, later began as lead Snare in his Jr High Drum Line. As a Freshman in High School Joey and Denny Berry form Zues which was Joey's first real band playing venues around the San Gabriel Valley with bands such as Van Halen (Mammoth), Quiot Riot, (With Randy Rhoads) Ala Carte. Joey says "Eventually after a couple of years venturing out the Starwood, Gazzari's and the Whiskey".

As a Junior Joey moved to Huntington Beach and began surfing almost full Time.

When in High School Joey met Davey Gasper, who would become Joey's songwriting partner and bandmate for the next 35 year's still working together today on various recording projects.

Davey and Joey worked in many permutation of the same guitar/drum line ups Witch included Tora Tora (Toured/Recorded), Mayhem (Toured/Recorded), Hit n' Run, Black Cat Moan, Bad Mouth, Baby Strange, and many other's.

During the early 80's Joey Started a 5 year Internship at Pasha Music House in Hollywood, which led to Joeys second passion... Recording. At that time Joey was working with producers and engineers such as Spencer Proffer, Duane Baron on projects such as, Heart, Quiot Riot, WASP, Air Supply, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick.

In Past Joey has studied with Jimmy Volpe (Warrior), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Carmine Appiece, Chet McKracken (Doobie Brothers) And Charlie Adems (Yannie). During the lat 80's early 90's Joey gigged and toured with Lone Justice, The Mavericks and Later Raul Malo, And The Highlight of his carreer with Jesus Jones, Playing at the Tearing down of The Berlin Wall in front of a Crowd of 500,000.

In 2009, Joey was surfing at Waikiki and he jumped off onto the reef and sliced his foot open, Joey adds "I got a staph infection. I'm diabetic so it turned into osteomialits, and also got MRSA, it's a bone eating infection, now my kidneys and heart are compromised".

On his return to drumming, Quiet Riot drummer, Frankie Banali gave Joey the idea of leading with his left foot. Joey adds "That works o.k. for some things, I've also tried using double pedal and alternating strokes that's good for stuff like Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song's fast doubles. Then for Bonzo triplets like in Zep's Good Times, Bad Times, the Jeff Pocaro Rosanna thing works. I'm sorting it out, Slowly!"

Joey is about to record a CD and gigging with City Kidd and Tommy Brown from Tora Tora and Rusty Tramp.

In recent months Joey's has a Standing offer to play with a new band featuring Pat Thrall and Kip Winger, and his health allowing Rhino Bucket who is slated to do 71 tour date in Europe.
