Alexander Smedick is a drummer from Torrington, Connecticut who was born with Cerebral Palsy.

Alexander says "I started playing drums when I was really young", This all started when Alexander's dad put him on his lap and gave him a stick and he started banging away. When Alexander got older, his dad taught him more about drumming.

Alexander adds "In my first lesson, my dad got me on the drum kit, he gave me a stick and he told me count to 4. He was doing the hi hat and I was doing the snare and bass drum". After a while. Alexander started playing along to rock music to bands such as Def Leppard and AC/DC. He has also used Youtube as a tool to assist with his learning.

Alexander says he got into country music is when his father was in a country band.

For Alexander, drumming is harder because he can't grip the drum stick so well in his left hand. He adds "I had to try my best to hold the drum sticks so when I play I had to hit the, stick with my right hand to hit the snare because I can't hit the snare just my left hand thats hard. When I went to the Rich Redmond clinic, I met David Segal he mentioned about the drumstick brace".

Alexander's favourite drummers are Rich Redmond, Jim Riley and he loves bands such as AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Def Leppard, Jason Aldean and Kid Rock.

Alexander says "I want to be a drummer just like my dad".
